YOU ARE A BADASS.

I’m finally back with a life post. It has been forever since I sat down and really got into one of these and its been for good reason. Like I’ve said before, I have to be in the right state of mind to write these because they matter so much to me. This is the reason I wanted to blog in the first place and I am so happy to finally be back to feeling like myself that I can tell you guys where I’m at.

The last few weeks I’ve been kicking ass in all aspects of myself. There’s been a lot going on in internally for me and every time something comes up I’ve been checking in with myself and reminding myself that I AM A BADASS. Why you ask? Because anytime I get into that state of mind, I shift how I’m feeling & find myself incredibly happy and ready to take on anything. For me this usually takes place in my gym because right now I’ve kicked into another gear working out and thats when I feel my most badass. I feel like I can take anything life throws at me, I feel strong, confident & happy. I have a playlist on my phone that totally takes me to a different place and one song in particular really gets me to focus on myself and cut all the bullshit out.

If you haven’t checked out the song Muddy Waters by LP you need to! If you’re a fan of Orange Is The New Black then you may have heard it on the season finale of the current season and its literally perfection in that scene. I found it about a year ago and whenever I listen to it I feel like I am transported, its such an odd thing to explain. For me listening to these types of songs – don’t worry there’s a list below 😉 – gets me into a space where I can just be me, the primal warrior part that I only bring out in the gym. I know that sounds crazy but thats just what I feel that I tap into when I hear these songs. I feel like such a badass and I truly believe that we can all feel that way. You don’t have to be in a gym to be a badass you just have to tap into that part of you somehow.

When I get into the badass part of myself, literally all of the crap I tell myself falls away. I will be the first to tell you that I am totally in my head a lot of the time, and this gets me back to me. It makes me remember that I can do anything that I choose to. It reminds me that my world is what I make out of it, so if things are going wrong I need to check myself and get back to the badass place. It reminds me that I AM the Ronda Rousey of my life 😉

You can take on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING because YOU ARE STRONG and a BADASS. You just have to believe in what you are and what you tell yourself. Its as simple as you want to make it, but you have to make the mental shifts. You can’t sit by and just expect to be a badass you have to work for it and earn it for yourself. I know for me that I always had the part under the surface but I was so scared to really let it show and when I let myself be me its when I felt the change. Now that is such a HUGE part of who I am and what makes me, me. So tap into the part of you for yourself.

Kick ass, stay true to yourself & be a badass!
